I LIKE TO THINK OF MYSELF AS

STYLIST ADJACENT

I’m Olivia, the creative behind Olivia Rose Breen.

After decades of watching my mom thrive as a stylist and salon owner, I finally found my own place in the beauty industry — and lucky for everyone, it’s not behind the chair. I’ve had a pretty cool career so far as a creative copywriter in NYC, having written for brands like Bumble and bumble, Victoria’s Secret, and SoulCycle.

I have a way of making things sound pretty with words, but I’ve always enjoyed making things look pretty, too.

A few years back, I wrote and built a website for my mom’s salon, and I picked up the basics pretty quickly. Then I made a site for a friend’s PR company, a site for my wedding, and a few more in between. I got better with each one, and realized I actually really enjoyed it. So, I invested in a Squarespace web design course, and the rest, as they say, is history.

The beauty industry has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember.

Ripping foils for my mom was my version of playing with toys under her desk at the office. And I wouldn’t trade it for anything. The smell of acrylic nails is nostalgic to me. Eating lunch standing up in the back room feels like home. I love the buzz of a busy salon.

Though I gave being a stylist my best 10-year-old effort, my childhood bestie will tell you it does not run in the family. (Sorry for the sideburns you never wanted, Erin.) However, I like to think of myself as stylist adjacent.

I know you. And I know what you need. Well, in an internet presence, anyway.

You help people look and feel their best every day. Let’s do it for your brand online.
